  • Season  your own hardwood logs.
  • Our hardwood milled logs contain a mix of premium hardwood, air dried naturally. Moisture content will be between 30-50% ready for you to stack and finish the drying process off on your own premises.
  • Perfect for stacking in spring in time for winter. See details below:

Our hardwood milled logs are off cuts sawn from our sawmill so come in various sizes. These are wet meaning there may be some sap content in them, they also come in all shapes & sizes, big - small & there will be some content of sawdust, etc , but this can also be burnt. They are currently stored in our sheds so if you put them under cover for approx 2 months they will dry.

We would advise that they are bought in the Spring/Summer months to make sure that they are to the moisture content you desire. Please note we will not accept any liability for damp/wet logs. We do clean the logs as best we can but cannot stop bark and sawdust shaking off in transit, this, however, will also burn on your fire & will not be replaced by a further log delivery.

Wood fuel supplied in volumes of 2 cubic meters or more is not required to be 20% moisture or less. But we are required by law to give you a ‘statutory guidance notice’ indicating that the wood needs further drying before you burn it. See guidance notice below:

This wood is not suitable for burning until it has been dried. You should not burn wood until it has a moisture content of 20% or less Wet wood contains moisture which creates smoke and harmful particulates when burnt. As well as being harmful to your health and the environment, this can damage your stove and chimney and is an inefficient way to heat your home. Dry it in a sunny, well-aired space for at least two years, keeping rain off in the winter. Radial cracks and bark that comes off easily suggests wood that is ready for burning. Test the wood when you think it is ready for burning, ideally with a moisture meter. First calibrate the meter and then measure a freshly split surface to get the best reading.
